Finding yourself in your first year in network marketing? Due to all the hype that goes along with network marketing and mlm programs, it's not hard to see how it can get a bad rap.
With the unemployment rate and the layoffs, people don't have a choice but to try and find a different source of income to make ends meet. There are thousands of people with stories about working for a company for years and then having been laid off. It's something that really makes you think about what the current economy is like for you.
You will see a bunch of network marketing opportunities around every corner, try not to fall into the hype of making millions in 24 hours. It will not be something that just happens without first making friends inside the market as well as learning how to market properly.
It's a known fact that the percentages of making an MLM opportunity a success are against you. But why do you think that is? Is it possible that they are just living a dream or is it more along the lines of not knowing what they are doing. Usually what happens is someone who is knew winds up on some type of conference call for a particular MLM opportunity. If this sounds like your first year in network marketing, this is most likely the same road you went down.
The calls are full of energy and hype, and by the time you get off the call, you feel like you can sign up your whole neighborhood! Having that type of motivation is wonderful, just don't get too excited just yet. They are supposed to make you feel those types of emotions and there is a reason for it.
Network marketing companies rely on those people on the calls to get excited and spread the word. If a company does not maintain a level of new members signing up, the life span of the business won't be long. They try to work you all up emotionally so you will go out and let the world know that they are something everyone needs to be a part of...is it possible to keep that level of emotion going however?
Unfortunately the answer is going to be no because they are going about spreading the word about it the wrong way. When most start promoting, they just run around blindly and tell anyone who will listen about the wonderful opportunity they are a part of. The thing is, the people that are being told about the business are not ready to hear about it . You may get one or two people this way, but you are going to wind up frustrated.
But what if you bring the internet into the equation. The Internet is the best thing to happen to network marketing opportunities EVER. It's such a huge advertisement platform, that you can literally get your offer out in front of millions of people in a matter of minutes. However.
The last thing you want do is is put your MLM opportunity as the front end offer. Of course you will present your primary opportunity very soon, but leading with it is a mistake that a lot of people make when it's their first year of network marketing.
